I heard from one of my teachers that is a real estate agent that the government helps you in buying a home and funds your flipping project but you have to pay it back and you keep the profit. Has anyone heard of this in their state. I’m in Massachusetts

I flip properties and will share my experiences. Yes you can get Grants from the local (city) level to the federal level. This is normally associated with historic properties (you would be surprised as to what is classified historic, basically it just needs to be old). A grant means you do not have to pay it back as the municipality would like to draw the income taxes from the property as well as increase the appeal of the neighborhood which further encourages others to either move into the neighborhood or refurb their own property therefore increasing the tax accessed value (taxes collected). If you have a particular property in mind begin with your local country courthouse and go from there.
